Silicone rubber is produced from silicon and oxygen molecules, forming a carbon chain. The main chain consists of carbon-containing functional groups. The most widely used silicone rubber has a butadiene-based main chain. It is resistant to both high and low temperatures, with an application temperature range of 100-300℃. It exhibits good weather resistance and resistance to reactive oxygen species, and possesses excellent insulating properties. However, it has drawbacks such as low compressive strength, poor resilience, and poor wear resistance. Silicone rubber is suitable for applications in the aerospace industry, electrical equipment manufacturing, and other fields.
